Ferrari for a start and they cost a lot more.

I don't know how you can expect a company with a tiny budget to produce cars to the same level as a major manufacturer with the backing of an umbrella group and all that provides, from the cost of a basic bolt/washer all the way to being able to spend tens of millions just designing lamp clusters. I'm not saying the cars are perfect but let's be realistic.


I don't think I'm being that unrealistic if I expect the roof not to leak and the paint not to bubble , haveing just parted company with over £100K for a new Aero and probably over £50/60 for a pre-owned one.

Bottom line is if no one says to MMC 'I would have spent £80K if your car didn't leak , but it does , so I'm not going to buy one', they will not know they have lost a customer.

I wonder how much of the £120,000 HSBC award MMC recieved is going into R&D on a watertight hood, answers on a postcard and if the answer is 'over £1' I will eat all the custard you can send me.
