I switched the Rear Press Stud on the car provided for the Tonneu to one of these Tenex Studs.
The thread on the Tenex Stud is larger and longer and I soon discovered that the density of the Ash Frame is so high that there was no way that I could just screw it into the existing screw hole.
I had to make the hole the correct size for the thread.
I only say this to warn that it is likely to be no easy jub to get the broken stub out. DaveW's method sounds excellent as usual.
