Why I buy a Morgan? As a second car to have some fun in and enjoy both owning it, cleaning and polishing it and driving it enthusiatically

Having decided that the big 50 needed some sort of celebration (and absoulutly no sign of HFI actually building a new Healey

I put down a £1k deposit to get a place on the pre order list for one of the first 203, one of the first 10 in my case)
http://www.hfiautomotive.com/I wanted a convertible sports car which was an event and different when I drove it.
Being a bit of a VW fan I tried the new Audi TT and came back from a terst drive decidely underwhelmed, no event no drama, actually quite boring. Nothing wrong with the car but very 'efficient'
Having had a Morgan way back in the early 80's having sold it to help buy a house I thought

What about a Morgan?
love the Aero 8 and tried it at RTCC but to be honest could not get on with the clutch arrangement. But boy was it an event to drive and Sidepipes definately rule

Saw the Roadster advertised in Newcastle went to see it and basiclaly got the 'must haves'

Went out for a drive , top down , sports exhaust and thought this will be an event every time I take it out

Like some others I want the reliablity of a modern car, the performance of a modern car but the soul and charchter of something from a different era. The Morgan fits the bill 100% and is a car that people warm to not dislike.

Biggest decision at the moment is which v expensive polish to buy it for Christmas :xmastree: :xmascheers:
