According to the Register, Build number is JO408 - thus a fairly early series 3. As read all the responces (mush apretiated by the way) I read words like Mule car, tested in April, a couple of issues when tested etc.
I am reading into this, mileage too high, Price too high given it has sat on the forcourt for nearly a year? Maybe not a full series 3 but a series 2 evo?
Thanks for the info.

Marco, the Stratstone car is a series 2 not 3. The car on PH that Mike has highlighted is the early series 4, maybe the original mule that CM drove to St Tropez.
Mike when I said lacks provenance I didn't mean service history, just that its not (on here anyway) a known car and was of course bigging up my own

oh and its a manual as well, the auto suits the car better IMHO.
And AFAIAA "vat qualifying" means it is owned by a commercial vat registered company as vat qualifying (leased or commercial use?) and if exported or utilised in a similar vein vat is recoverable?
Actually having typed that the CM/St Tropez car was automatic and therefore this ISN'T it. Just adds to the confusion.
