I don't dispute the grumpy b..... epithet for a minute and I'm also perfectly happy to accept the points that Boshly and I have debated here over a large number of posts but the fact still remains, when MMC built the Aero, they made a step change into their target market and that market expects a different level of reliability, finish, sophistication etc.
Looks-wise, concept-wise I think the Aero was and is a stunning car. In terms of QA and detail, to me it is flawed to such an extent that it just isn't what it sets out to be. That was- and is- a shame but it is the almost inevitable result of a small company not being able to do the development necessary. Hence the dreaded concept of " The Customer Development Car"!
