I am not sure but if you are referring to the tenax just above the door that can get broken with an easy up if you forget to undo it when drooping the hood then NeilM came up with a very neat solution on his roadster, removing the tenax an replacing it with a magnet attached to the dood an a flat metal plate on the body, ask him about it.
