Hopefully your hood was not down with it fastened at the time?
I lowered the hood on mine once with it fastened and the Tenex Button just sheared off but the peg was ok.
I noticed during my last factory visit that MMC were fitting a Tenex Peg to the Top (Front Edge) of the Vertical Legs of the Easy Up Hood Frame to fasten the loose hood flaps to when the hood is down. Stupidly, I did not take a photo.
