I'd be interested to see a tenax stud fastened to the hood frame, to "park" the flap when the hood is down (as mentioned above by Frank). At present I'm using a double-sided velcro band on each side, as I posted previously, and this does a very good job of keeping everything squared away and not flapping. I also have velcro bands at the rear to keep the folded hood in place.

On a few occasions I have forgotten to undo the tenax while folding the hood, but so far I've felt the added tension before anything bad happened! I agree that the male tenax with the two-screw backplate would be a better solution, and much easier to replace.
