The little stud over which the bottom edge of the hood fits behind the door broke off today whilst driving along.
Carefully fastened, after clipping the hood down at the back, as always. Then driving down the A34 I could hear a metallic rattle, not loud, from the passenger side.
Got home and lo and behold the hood was lose, one part of the stud and about 3mm of thread in the hood, the other bit deep down in the wood.
So how do I get out something that is only about 3mm diameter and recessed, without damaging the bodywork?
Has anyone done this successfully?
