I too admire the proportions of older 4/4s and older wings. Does this maybe have something to do with the standardisation of the wings in the "post- superform" era?
I think it does: I was talking to the guys at New Elms and if I understood correctly now there are only two sizes of wings, the body shop has to make them fit, either wide wheels or narrow wheels.
