2012 model. Had all the problems you can have. Now have a full 2014 spec with a new body on the way courtesy of a range rover up the backside. I have 9500 on the clock and since all the upgrades have been over the moon with the old girl. I too have the occasional knock from the BB. I am fully in love and am now happy to cover a couple of hundred miles a day or so. I use every day it's not raining. I would echo all the other comments. Go for it.
