Better you being the older than the other way round I think. 11 years isn't much if the guys older. In my case it's 15, but both our kids are all grown up so I don't think I suffer from the grandad problem, least it's not come up in the 7 years we've been together.
Also can change depending on the time of life you make the comparison.. My father is 95 and his wife 80, same gap as me but who would know?
