I learned the news this morning while on my way to Edinburgh Airport. Was almost prepared for having my flihgt back home (to Lisbon) delayed or cancelled, but fortunately the european airspace didn't freeze (only the flights to Brussels were cancelled).
Mentioned to my wife "this could've been us" because we had a few days to spare and we hesitated between Scotland and Brussels. Scotland won, but had we chosen Brussels we might be there today, among the dead, wounded or survivors.
We never know ...
