Those who say that terrorism is nothing to do with Islam are ill-advised.
It may be false to say that terrorism of the kind perpetrated by Daesh has nothing to do with Islam.
But it is illogical and irrational to therefore imply, as so many are doing, that Islam breeds terrorism. The number of Fundamentalist terrorists as a proportion of the entire Muslim population is no greater than the proportion of Far-right terrorists in the White Western population.
In fact, since 9/11 more people in the USA have been killed by Far-right terrorists than by Islamic terrorists.
Far-right terrorism originates in the politics and culture of white christianity. Does this mean that white christianity breeds terrorism? Of course not.
