Have had mine changed under warranty. since the bolt worked itself out through the front cover.
There was no really dangerous situation as the cam-belt stopped turning. Just like swithcing off the engine while driving. Suddenly no more power. Pushed the clutch-pedal and while still having some speed on the M3W, found a suitable place to park. No problem :-)
Now waiting for it to finish, probably next week.
