JI have just had a rather alarming conversation with my local dealer and am now looking for a confirmation that the Crank Pulley Kit is now seen as a chargeable 'upgrade' bundle, for which I've been quoted £245+vat +fitting (which I spspect will come out at about £400 or thereabouts). Seems to consist of various bolts, washers, pulley wheels, camcover spacer washers - and a new vented front cover as well.
Quite how having a standard setup that risks seeing the crank pulley bolt punch its way out through the front cover, Alien chest-burster style, is considered acceptable with the fix being considered a customer funded upgrade, is once again beyond me. But hey, I shouldn't be surprised I guess...
May I ask what others have done with respect to the Crank Pulley Kit, how much you paid and what the kit included please?
