My cure for all Aero 8 based cars is to run then for at least ONE full tank of fuel a month (preferably TWO), every month and in doing so make sure the engine is pushed to at least 5000 rpm at least twice.
This medicine also makes the driver VERY happy!
So far, in 33 months and 25,000 miles there have been no mechanical faults.
Let's not talk about corroded electronics in the dash display, but then in the first 15 months it was first the MMC development car for the paddle-shift levers and then a demonstrator. So it got damp a few times, I suspect and wasn't kept in a warm, dry garage.
