Captains log, Saturday! Yesterday was something of a quiet day, a little swim in the hotel pool and a wander around the motor museum. Lunch in a lovely local restaurant where the owner managed to convince us that the roast goat was the thing to have.. Luckily I held my ground and had fish but the other Moggers munched their way through huge portions of Billy. Something that Jays later regretted and necessitated a lie down to aid recovery before Mario pitched up in the evening.

I say a quiet day, but by early evening it seemed to develop into a mad frenzy of activity , not for us as we simply watched on sipping beer but a small army of people were setting up and preparing for the event, even when it was approaching midnight there were men up ladders with head torches. Health and Safety hasn't yet found its way to Caramulo.

Some nice cars arrived with some nice passengers and gradually the hotel car park was full with Lotus, Porsche, Jaguars, Ferrari and of course our Morgans!

It was rather odd that scrutineering started at 10.30 in the evening and as we chatted with Mario it was easy in Jays temporary absence (due to goats revenge) for us to nominate him as navigator. When we told him there was only the slightest flicker of fear in his eyes. Owning a Morgan seems to build inner strength or careless abandon, I'm not sure which.

So breakfast shortly and then out to support our intrepid Wild Mog Racers! Don't worry lots of pics to come.
