Interesting comments about the trade future. I bought one because it isn't a replica of anything it's a car that's been in continuous production for decades. Bit like the old indian Enfield and even the caterham.
The driving experience is unique as it's still running on a chassis and suspension largely unchanged since the fifties. Were it to have the underpinnings of a modern car it would lose this heritage.
I think Morgan would still sell them but I am sure the motoring press would be less lenient and start comparisons with modern sports cars and potentially shine some light on the hand built quality.....
It would be a real shame to see the trad go in its current format but perhaps it's time to change if they want to appeal to a wider market.
