Not convinced that heat is such a big problem, I've adjusted the Ohlins fronts a few times, and the Suplex before them, always with bare hands and no burns! So long as I have managed to avoid touching the headers at least.
Do keep us posted on how they handle the investigation and repair, hopefully it will be quick and hassle free; they don't come cheap and good back up is to be expected.
