Finally got around to installing the set of Ohlin's I bought ~2 years ago. No excuse - just life got in the way and it wasn't critical :-)

First thought after taking it for a drive was - WOW - why did I wait to put these on! They truly transformed the ride, just as others have said. It actually feels like the suspension is now working. It would be a real shame if these were no longer available!

Installation of the fronts was easy - just a bit of "adjusting" to fit the lower mounts by opening up slightly the tabs on the control arms to fit the bottom shock mounts.

Installation of the rears is a PITA. I highly recommend a lift as if you have a later car, you'll need to remove the bevel-box mount that otherwise prevents the swing arm from lowering enough to get the lower shock bolts out. You also have to loosen the rear axle and slacken the adjusters to slack the drive belt enough to allow the swing arm to lower far enough. All this is MUCH easier on a lift. Removing and reinstalling the BB mount is a bit fiddly as you'll need to support the BB to align the bolt holes to reinstall it - much easier up on a lift. I marked with a paint-pen the adjusters left and right so I could get the wheel back where it was originally. That worked fine and made it much easier to put things back.

I used M12 stainless washers, and off-set the left shock to give more clearance to the belt. A trick if you use washers is to wrap the washer stack in electrical tape to essentially treat the stack as a spacer (which I didn't have). I ordered washers in two thickness so I could come up with the right stack of them to center or off-set the shock. Worked fine.
