You folks talked me into it, so I took the plunge and ordered a set of Ohlins. Well, that, and a recent ride down a really crappy road helped secure the decision!
Thanks 2Sharp for the link to mike.hensley@ohlinsusa.com. He's been very responsive and helpful. There is a fairly long lead time at the moment, probably into mid to late August due to Sweden being on vac in July. He mentioned he had 3 M3W orders from us folks.
Mike was a bit confused about the size of the mounting bolts front and rear - he thought they were 1/2". I confirmed to him that they were in fact M12 bolts, and sent him the pages from the parts manual confirming sizes. That should help eliminate any machining as he said he could provide 12mm bushings. So should only have to do some shimming with M12 washers to adjust the width. If you have an order in with him, you may want to remind him to adjust the order to make sure he provides 12mm bushings.
His last note back to me: "The fronts will come with 12mm ID and 40mm thick. The rears will come with sleeves to insert that will reduce the ID from 14mm to 12mm. The thickness will be 20mm, so you will still need some spacers to make up the difference."
