Another reason it's unlikely to happen is because youngsters in German cruisers have nothing to sell. Audis, BMWs, Mercedes - all leased, handed back after 3 years, no money to do anything other than stay on the treadmill of rented peacock feathers.

So MMC needs to be able to offer exactly the same sort of PCP deals? I'm sure with the robust residuals that trad Morgans have the monthly payments should be really attractive!



The paradox is that the abundance of used PCP-financed cars eventually destroys the very residuals that (along with record low wholesale money market rates) permit the attractive PCPs. Porsche for example has trashed its residuals.

I'm always looking forward to the interesting metal that I will be able to pick up cheaply at some point in the future with my 'unfashionable' cash.
