I'm pretty sure I'm remembering the figure of a £300 fine and 6 points on your license for the mobile offence is about to be rolled out, not before time lets hope it does the job.
I predict that it will have NO measurable impact.
Perhaps if the punishment was the same as Drink Driving we might see some attitude change.
But I wouldn't put money on it.
