One of the things on my bucket list is to drive to the South of France avoiding the peage - I hope to do it one day, but would definitely need this type of thing.
I've done it a few times, it's a long drive (we did it in two days, stopping at Sarlat La Caneda on the way) but well worth it in my view. Loads of lovely little towns to stop off at, a very relaxed way of doing it. Our most-used route was St-Malo-Rennes-Angers-Poitiers-Angouleme-Perigeux-Sarlat-Montauban-Castres-Albi-Carcasonne-Narbonne.
