Perhaps the satisfaction of listening to music in a Morgan depends on the style of music. At home I'm open minded to different sorts of music, from chamber, classical concert to rock and funk and mainly jazz. I would never wear ear plugs when driving, even worse if your car herself produces a lot of noises anyway like an open or closed Mog, I have to have "open" ears for what is going on around me.
Listening to music in the Mog is of course somehow limited - mainly with regards to physical circumstances like the described noise. My solution is that I listen to jazz (I play a little bit myself in a hobbyist band) and when the noise is getting dominant I nevertheless can listen to the lines and phrases of the solist. So nothing is nicer than hearing Chet Baker or Dexter Gordon or whosever as a Solist...the band has been dived under due to the noise, but I can follow the solo lines of Coltrane clearly, like a story which is been telling. That is great fun and the total opposite of trying to get "hifi" in the Mog. Only the midband of frequencies survives, which is enough for me to make me happy.
