Great thread - fascinating reading.
My Dad had a Berkeley 3-wheeler then a TR3a when he got married and gave up his beloved Norton. Then, when I came along, the sports cars were replaced with a downward spiral of Riley Elf, Renault 6, Fiat Strada (x2) & Mini Metro (x2). The second Metro was such a sh*tbox that I made him get rid and I bought him a VW Polo which is still going strong after 18 years!
