Don't know if this will help but worth a try.
Whenever I get grease coming out as you describe I stop, remove the gun and press the ball bearing in the middle of the nipple with a big needle. You can feel it spring loaded when it's free. All started when I had a seized one once.
Also, you are turning the wheels full lock to gain acces?
