I keep the tank full, for two reasons...

The obvious one, so that the car is always ready.....
And because I was told fuel keeps better when there is only a small headspace above the fuel.


And it stops the tank corroding i.e. less fuel equals more space for condensation, especially in winter. Keep the tank full when the car is laid up over winter.


Also a good reason, especially if the tank is not stainless steel... Tarka is quite modern so the tank is stainless.. not totally corrosion proof, but a lot better than mild steel!
