I could never figure out why you would use engine oil to "gease" as the oil would tend to wash the grease out.
I have had no problems.

Phosphor bronce wants oil, not grease. That's why I stick to the original system since 40 years.

Makes Me wonder why MMC abandoned the Oiler as well as damper blades. They must know something. I wonder what? Not used damper blades nor oiler for 15 yers and many, many miles on all 3 of My Morgans. Works for Me. But "Original" is "Original". I hope the air in the tyres are "Original".
