Last year I cancelled the SkyTV contract at our weekend home when they left us without the bundled broadband service over Xmas and New Year. Guess what - we didn't miss it. So have just responded to a 'price increase' letter by cancelling SkyTV at the main home too. I wonder what this means for the SkyTV business model if I am typical of their demographic?

I signed up 15 years ago - music channels for me and Disney/Nickelodeon for the kids. Now, I watch little TV and the kids stream Netflix/Amazon. So if the next generation of kids can access their own content online from a young age, and there are many better ways to access music, who exactly needs SkyTV other than Sports addicts or people with the time to binge watch box sets?
