Morgan already had an electric 4 wheeler, the car is able to take a range of drive plants as it is a car with a hole to be filled and not a car that is designed around the engine.
I would guess that when the technology is right Morgan will use whatever is on the shelf. Packaging would be the biggest challenge but with no exhaust the space under the wings/running board would accommodate batteries as well as the space where the engine now lives - two wheel motors in the rear wheels no need for a drive shaft all is very possible without veering from the traditional style.
It will be interesting to see how the EV3 goes - I for one could be very tempted by it.
