The required font is Charles Wright, to my untrained eye and in comparison with the "Standard" plate the pressed metal plate font looks correct. The numbers and letters are the correct height and the spacing is correct.

As Stewart has said, the makers name, post code and BS Number are etched into the reflective layer.

I'd say they are compliant with the law, unless pressed metal plates themselves are not legal. The makers claim they are legal, this LINK takes you to their web site.
