or possibly more than 28 euronorms, given the wide variety of registration plate styles used by member states. In the Netherlands there are many different styles - black on blue for taxies, white on blue for "old-timers", black on white for trailers, black on yellow front and rear for private cars etc. Clearly Brussels has missed a trick, but it is also a lost Brexit opportunity for us to get back our old white on black licence plates taken from us along with our birth right, sovereignty etc. etc. in 1973 when we joined the EEC (which would presumably be made by a Franco-Dutch company because De La Rue wouldn't be competitive).

Before buying my Morgan with legal white on black plates I looked at a 1974 model at Allon White that had old style plates screwed in place over the legal ones, presumably to allow easy removal to pass the MoT.
