I completely agree on the flywheel front, with a lightened one it is very likely to perform more like an one off switch with the power, fine for a race car, but in a car that is already relatively light on the road I suspect it would become a difficult car to drive and possibly unpredictable for a less experienced driver. Maybe a step too far IMHO.


Dual mass flywheels are a relatively recent introduction - the cars I worked on in the 70/90 period never had one and werent any more difficult to drive.
