Got an international licence in case requested in France last year, made me feel more confident but was a waste of time , as all the cops must have been on holiday for summer, pretty sure NZ/ England have a reciprocal deal on licences as friends always drive here on their Uk ones as I drive over there on my Kiwi one . The rental car companies have no problem with it.
Driven loads of times on my UK licence in NZ never had an issue, maybe different if one was to take up residence though?
