Only if you use crap power plants, nukes and renewables are nowhere near that. Plus of course making petrol consumes a cartload of electricity - as much as 6KWh per gallon - which is why we won't overload the grid by switching to EVs, we already use comparable amounts of electricity to make gasoline.
