Long url links are annoying because if viewed in a browser that doesn't automatically condense the link, they end up stretching the window requiring sideways scrolling to be able to read, which is not always easy when using a mobile device.

It is trivially easy to avoid the problem, simply insert a proper html url link by using the button on the toolbar of the full edit screen (the one that looks like a globe with a chain link). Paste your url in first, then a short description, then you end up with something that looks like this:

Alternatively you can type the url by hand using the format

The strings embraced by the braces are replaced by the characters you want, the square brackets remain to delineate the tag.
