Typical wrong headed knee-jerk political thinking. Recent tests have shown that modern Euro 6D (temp) diesel cars with Addblue and particle filters can be less polluting than petrol cars.

There are some who believe that the best option for a hybrid car would be to use a small, efficient, diesel engine which would produce even less CO2 than petrol hybrids.
