Someone I know took their £120K Range Rover in for a while you wait service at a RR Main Stealer. When they reviewed the dash cam the car hadn't been touched for 45 minutes then they opened and shut the bonnet, did nothing and the bill for this was £750.00
I know a guy who took his car in at 7:30am to a mechanical workshop, parked it in the street and walked into the service place. Organised the paper work and said he was walking to a local tool shop to look at stuff and will come back later, they said they will do the car first so hopefully it will be finished by the time he returned. He had two keys with him and remembered the shop he wanted didn't open until 8:30 so went back and sat in his car reading a book he had in there and somehow fell asleep. Woke up a few hours later so went back to the repair shop to ask when his car was being done and was told it already has here if the bill and the car is fine. They though he had came back from the tool shop not having slept in his car. I doubt the car left the street.
