Talking about fuel gauge, mine has started from one day to the other to go down at twice the previous speed, I.e. I’m now back to zero%in less than 200km. A classic evolution ? My M3W is just one year old...
Although the fuel gauge will never be something to be relied upon more consistent readings can be restored, particularly after a period of inactivity, by cleaning the two resistance fine wires inside the transmitter. Remove the transmitter unit and take the small nut off the base of the cover, this will allow the cover to be removed and expose the two fine wires with the float. Carefully clean the two wires with a metal polish or very fine abrasive crocus cloth. Re-assemble and clean the transmitter spade contacts. This seems to restore the random readings to steadier random readings, not great but better.
