When I worked for a British "Government Department" back in the late 70s-80s a great deal of focus was spent monitoring the infiltration of socialist groups by the extremist far left sponsored by that big country to the East. The objective was to subvert Western Values by undermining the established norm de-stabilizing law and order, dividing the countries political establishment and uprooting financial stability, this way the destruction comes from within (think of the Roman Empire and Brexit). The method was to use any opportunity to infiltrate legitimate organizations with a strong message carrying out legal actions and then turn it to their advantage with civil disruption and cultural division. Its been going on for decades and will continue until the objective is achieved, the methodology changes with the advance of technology but the goal is the same.
