I used axle stands on the chassis rails. One in each corner, just in front of the rear bumper mounts, and then a back up pair, again on the chassis rails, in front of the rear wheels.

To physically 'jack up' the car, I usually stick the jack on the chassis rail. Not had any issues, and I've jacked mine up a lot in the last few months (new wheels and tyres, broken rear axle stud, new front brakes, new rear springs etc)
