Some more thoughts about the next M3W

Harley M8 engine:
With the uneven 45 degree piston firing pulses, a Centa or similar would still be needed as the balance shaft used would quell the rocking back and forth of the engine and not the torque spikes.

The specs in the article below list a dry sump with the water cooled heads, the sump being below the gearbox rather than a stand alone oil tank. Let me add, that I am not familiar with Harleys so perhaps there are other variations with different models.

The caranddriver article linked earlier is the only one I’ve seen describing the next gen M3W, while talk of an under-bonnet engine has been speculative. If it is accurate, that a motorcycle engine will be used, I’d expect it to be in view at the front as motorcycle engines are typically out in the open and have pleasing aesthetics unlike a car engine.

I recently found the below web page with an interestingly modern designed concept 3-wheeler using a BMW flat twin at the front with an accurately styled Morgan emblem. Note the date; Jan 2010.

Just need to shorten the wheel base by bringing the rear drive pivot to right behind the seats.
