Totally agree. Use the entire BMW drive train with swing arm and shaft drive bevel box. All well engineered, tried and tested.
A bit of a no brainer really but I guess BMW need to want to trade. Though it does look like they are building up to add MMC to their product portfolio once the Italian VC sell them off in what 18 months whilst the lipstick on the pig still looks good.
