here is another example of how wrong the "experts" were and a good boost for the home workforce.
It's obviously good news, and must be a great relief of all the people whose livelihoods depend on Nissan, but as Giles points out the warnings were based around what could happen if we didn't do a deal with the EU. The situation now is still not quite as good as if we were in the Customs Union and/or single market, but is the best we could have hoped for in the circumstances.
The important thing to my mind is that we all actually put our money where our mouth is and buy products and services made in the UK to support our home industries wherever possible.
