fwiw, my 2019 BMW i8 has tyre sensors... travelling south from Glasgow on the A74 & M6, after 90 minutes at steady speeds I drove into heavy rain. 20 minutes later I had simultaneous pressure warnings on all four tyres.
I guess the rain had cooled the tyres & dropped the pressure a smidge.
But it does suggest that even when the system's working, BMW's tyre pressure warnings need to be taken with a hefty pinch of salt, which kinda defeats their purpose.
iirc @Shooter puts a motorbike anti-puncture gel into his tyres - which seems a lot less hassle than a pressure warning system.

I use a product called Ride-On TPS. They do several formulas. Motorbike, Car, truck etc. I have used it since 2001 on the bikes, 2006 on the cars, it can go in the inner tube on tubed tyres and works OK. Also, the bike formula is suitable for untreated/uncoated alloy wheels. Some brands are not good for motorbike wheels and cause corrosion issues. The other nice thing about Ride -On is it isn't too messy when it comes to tyre changes on tubeless tyres.
Bad news is, the UK distributer stopped bringing it in. I bought most of mine when I was visiting USA and got some from UK guy before he stopped.
As for how good is it? Well, I cannot say with any certainty, but I can say that I have never had a flat tyre on any vehicle with it installed, only on those that I haven't got around to fit.
