I think it is a bit odd that MMC have stopped the upgrade completely. Do dealers have the option to continue offering it? I suppose as the car is no longer an option they would slim down trad options but surely letting dealers pick it up would be a good idea?
My understanding is that it was not a re-flash, but a completely different ECU branded as Aero Racing and they only had a few
The std ECU can't be 'cracked' partly because when the car is first switched on MMC don't input the chassis nr into the ECU data and it can't then be read or flashed, apart from basic fault codes
There are a couple of reputable Mog specialists who have been trying to sort this...and after some years still we wait, so it can't be easy to crack
