HeadlessBlue .... By odd coincidence we used to holiday at Jaywick as a family in the '50s .... can't remember any of the chalets being that ornate though 🙂

Ps ... not thought of Jaywick for decades .... decided to search it ..... bit of a disaster it appears .... what was, back then, a jolly community of self-owners (many of them also self-builders) who would let little chalets out to the likes of us working London families for their week's holiday with the beach and fields round to play on ...... now it seems that an antagonistic Council and buy-ups by benefit-harvesting multi landlords have turned it into a bit of a sink-estate-on-sea .... bit sad really.
