I was intrigued by the pre launch drawings and the write-ups after the launch but didn't expect to do anything about it as I already had a Ferrari 355 spider as a "toy" car.
Then in mid 2013 I happened to be passing Bell & Covill and noticed a new Morgan sign so I dropped in out of curiosity. They were only just taking on the dealership but had a M3W which I asked if I could sit in to see if I could fit. I decided it was too small but Richard, the salesman, said why didn;t I come back and test drive it anyway. I did drive it and confirmed it was too small and though that was that.
But whenever I went along a fun bit of road I found myself wondering what it would be like in the Mog. Richard phoned a few weeks later to see how I was and when I told him he immediately said come and drive it again. This I did and then ordered one straight after and put the F car up for sale!
It was delivered in Nov 2013, like Black Adder's just a few weeks before the announcement of the 2014 upgrades.
Since then I've been through most of the trials and tribulations of owning one of these but these are far far outweighed by the fun, camaraderie and friendships forged over 7 years and 35,000 miles.
With the ending of production and some aligning of the financial stars I too have ordered one of the last production cars and hope to be getting it in another few weeks.
